About Amanda honey, Clinical Intern
they/them
Hi! I’m Amanda, and I’m so glad you made it to my page. I’m a Masters of Social Work student and an intern here at Valid Love.
While I have a broad range of clinical interests, I am currently most drawn to exploring sex and sexuality, body image, self-compassion, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. I aim to support clients in unpacking societal and internalized narratives that impact their relationships with themselves and others. My practice is a space where LGBTQIA+ individuals feel seen, supported, and fully celebrated in their identity. I recognize that every individual’s journey is deeply personal, and I’m here to honor your experiences, challenge stigma, and meet you where you’re at with compassion and curiosity.
I utilize a person-centered, strengths-based approach, integrating somatic techniques to foster a deeper connection between body and mind. Along with my foundational therapeutic practices, I embrace an eclectic approach to ensure our work together is tailored specifically to you. I understand that no single therapeutic method works for everyone, and I am committed to adjusting our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. I believe in honoring the experiences that have shaped you while working through what’s holding you back. Together, we’ll identify what’s keeping you from the life you want and explore practical steps to move forward!
