Christina Franklin (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who graduated from Western Carolina University in 2020 with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Christina is passionate about working with individuals who have experienced interpersonal trauma, specifically domestic violence/intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, and emotional abuse. Christina has experience working with adults who have experienced intimate partner violence and children who have witnessed intimate partner violence.
As the spouse of a transgender person, Christina is also passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Christina enjoys working with individuals who are experiencing concern surrounding their gender identity and/or sexuality or who are interested in exploring their gender identity and/or sexuality. Christina specializes in working with the trans+ community as they navigate their identity, transition, and/or gender-affirming care. Christina is trained in multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as DBT, ACT, RCT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness.
Christina has engaged in many intentional trauma-informed training and training surrounding working with the LGBTQIA+ community and gender-affirming care. Christina often utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches to create a client-centered approach that offers a safe space for clients. Christina enjoys meeting each client where they are to help them reach their individual goals.
Christina believes each client deserves a therapeutic space that is individualized to them, safe, and an environment where they can be vulnerable.
